I've been trying to find info on this bottle for a friend. It was his grandfathers. He had just sent me some pictures. I asked him about a seam and he doesn't see one. He would be happy with any info at all. Thanks in advance!

Well that looks like a German Pinched Bottle. They are usually clear glass with a glass stopper. I have a couple of them. They have to be tricky to make RED Matthews

Hey Steve,

Tell your friend it's a "Kluk-kluk" and it's from the future.

That is an hourglass bottle. The one I have has a glass stopper, interesting that yours doesn't. They can date pretty far back from what I've heard, but judging by the label yours has, it's probably from the 1930's-50's.

Hey Mike,

I agree that it is an old form, but it has been done in modern times by, among others, the Holmegaard firm from Denmark.

"Kuttrolf," sez John Odell., though I don't think I could wrap my vocal chords around the proper pronunciation of that word.
