You're going to have to provide a lot more information than just that poor image.Came across these while cleaning the barn. Can anyone tell me @ age, and what they are worth? How can I clean them? I haven't pulled them out of their hole yet as I haven't had time to really do it.
All I know is you just got paid. Even the common ones seem to sell for 10 or 20 bucks apiece with the tops. At least around here they do. The carriers they are in are worth a little too. Nice find!I'll go down there tomorrow and pull them out.![]()
They are very plain. Having so many it will be slow selling as the demand will be low. I suggest you keep it all together as cases.OK I only cleaned one up they are all the same or have nothing on them at all (that I have found yet) There is NO Oil Company name that I can find. Still have more to clean.
I once had a carrier exactly like the ones these bottles were in. Always knew it was old and valuable. But one summer I uncovered it from the garage to find a squirrel had somehow become entangled in it and died. So now I had a hideous mummified squirrel corpse woven between the wires of the bottle holder. It was completely frozen in place and I wasn't too happy about trying to remove it. So I put it to the curb on the trash bin and angled it in such a way that the garbage man would have to see it in the most terrifying way possible. In retrospect I should have kept it or sold it to a macabre or curiosity enthusiast.Agree. Carrier may be worth as much as the bottles. Sell as a set.
