Found this in the back of a Curio Cabinet. My Mom had it labelled on the bottom. Olive Oil Bottle - 1600's. That's all I know about it.

Crude, but not as old as the 17th C. More likely to be much later. The drip ring and the lip finish are amateurish. Or, the lip finish might indicate low value/high production. Oil or vinegar cruet is a reasonable guess.

Hello Chelvis,
The Olive Oil Bottle you have looks like a Persian bottle or possibly a reproduction of a Persian bottle. Here is a picture of some like the one you have.
What do you think? Roy

If you do a Google search for Saddle flasks you will find a website run by Phil Culhane. He is the expert on Persian bottles. Click on the photos and you will find bottles very similar to yours.
If you email Phil those pictures he will be happy to tell you everything you want to know about that bottle.
If you do contact Phil Culhane please let us know what you find out about that bottle. Thanks, Roy
