I was out metal detecting in Northern Michigan amd stumbled across an old dump site. Everything was mostly smashed to bits with the exception of this one bottle. There is nothing on the bottom so thinking its one of the earliest bottles. Can anyone help narrow down the age range? Thanks in advance all.

Nice Bottle but not there oldest, That Bottles dates to right around 1912-1920 roughly, approximately. The older version from 1906-1912 will have the 1906 pure food & drugs Act Statement on it. Could be older better none Broken Stuff underneath if you dig. I'll be Driving up threw Northern Michigan to the U.P. in a few days if you need any Help Digging that Dump. Let me know? LEON.

DIRTFISERMAN, that's a clever user handle for a metal detectorist! Welcome to the site.

Those embossed bottles are early 1900’s, like Leon said. There are a lot of them out there, but very cool to find one. There are many variations on the embossing. Several of mine also have nothing on the bottom. The embossed extracts are earlier. But, the Jas. Vernor Druggist bottles are the earliest. He closed the pharmacy in 1896. The 235 Woodward address was his first location at Woodward and Clifford. He opened in 1865.
