Came across this today at a big antique mall I visit often, I've seen these before but I think they were made of plastic and made later on and just looked cheesy, I had no interest in those, this one is one of the first ones from '68 used as a display bottle for, at the time, the new keg bottle that Carling was using/selling their beer in. I thought this one is quite striking when you see one up close. It's made by OI and date coded from '68 and embossed with the NDNR around the lower edge and made of thick glass. I collect some of the Carling Black Label bottles and have three of the keg quart bottles which are tough to come by ( had the 12oz but it went with my can collection when I sold it) and original labeled 12oz and 16oz Glass Cans of Black Label (also not often seen), and the super tough milk-glass Glass Can as well. The big Carling's bottle was priced right and I knew I had to have it....lol....pictured alone and next to a quart size keg bottle..... :p 20220813_130735.jpg20220813_130853.jpg20220813_131707.jpg20220813_131730.jpg
