Looking for thoughts on this one...10 in. tall, got bubbles, a drippy lip and a pontilled bottom. Any ideas on what it is or age? Thanks for looking.

Hi Dave
I'm curious as to why there appears to be no wear at all on the base. Was this possibly a foreign wine bottle covered in wicker? Not one that I have ever seen before and something tells me it is not that old. Let's see what others think.

Hello Roy
It came from an estate sale and was part of an older lady's glass collection. I also thought about it being a wine bottle with wicker basket removed, but those that I have seen, did not have a flat bottom.

It's basically a classic chianti form more or less. But I've never seen one pontiled before. That's clearly an applied lip, so it's not some fake pontil. No clue about age.
