Original 1988 (??) full Holiday Coca Cola Bottles (6) in original cardboard container!

Hey! Just wanted to share my latest find with everyone! I was helping to clean out an old house and found these "hiding" away tucked out of sight on the corner floor of the attic! The house is historic 1800s! Hopefully, I'll find more "hidden" treasures.

I think I know that these are commemorative bottles and were produced in or around the late 80s. I believe their value should be anywhere from $10 to $25. But if anyone knows anything more about them, their rarity, and their value, please inform me!

These bottles really do look like the originals from the 1960s style!

These bottles were mass produced for two years, they're lighter than the original 6.5oz. hobbleskirts and have cities on the bottom. I think one set had 100 different bottles and the other had 90 with cities on the bottom, city and state are separated by a curved line. Unfortunately they have minimal if any real value, everyone who wants them already has them in their collections. Just about any commemorative Coca-Cola bottle produced since 1989 was made in such large quantities they will never be worth more than a dollar or two if a buyer can be found. If it has a bar code on the bottle or carton, it's a mass produced common bottle. Not just this bottle, but Coke commemoratives are all over eBay and Facebook Marketplace and don't sell. Families inherit a collection of newer Coca-Cola things (bottles and other licensed collectibles - tins, beanies, new signs, etc.) and the market is flooded.

The only Coca-Cola hobbleskirt commemorative bottles produced over the past 30 or so years that will ever be worth anything are those that were made for internal use by the company and don't have bar codes; employee retirements and recognition, bottling facility functions, grand openings of restaurants and other retail outlets that serve Coca-Cola, it goes on and on. Even those are getting harder to sell for any where near market prices.

Hey thanks for the info.! Its kind of what I thought. Ha! They certainly look like the original style from the 60s, but even filled, they weigh only as much as an original one does EMPTY! So, that's a dead giveaway there. And, yes, the fact that they mass produced them made them almost worthless. I thought though that because these are still in the original cardboard packaging AND are unopened FULL bottles, that they might be a little bit rarer. I think though that you are right, and I'll just keep them as part of my soda bottle collection. I think they now have that amount of "worth" and not to be thrown away, but just kept in my collection for nostalgia's sake.

My girlfriend collects all things Coke and has a multitude of commemorative bottles. Never paying more than 5 or 6 bucks for one. Fun to collect as there are many different ones. Cool finds in that attic. Keep looking!
