Working on a small Julius Marcus collection.

does anyone know anything about the signs? they have round holes in them, which must be for mounting the sign on some round pole or something. but of all the vintage signs i've seen, i've never seen that before. was there a particular kind of stand or easel or other contraption the sign would hang on to? its cardboard so it would've been an inside sign. i'm thinking a store display. idk. any thoughts?
