Greetings,

This is my first post with my new Username. I was buzzkutt033 for many years.

anyway, I came across this beer and it's not really up my alley. just wondering if it's worth listing on Fleabay.

has casewear on the bottle but the label is mint. the seam line is separated in the neck and
it seems to be dated 8/6/48 on the bottom.

any opinions on this one?

I don't know anything about your bottle but it appears you are one of few members who have posted since the recent changes. I'm mainly posting this to see if my instant email notification is working. I don't know how Reed marked but I'd think the 48 would be the year. The other two may be like Owens did and a plant and unknown mold number.

The bottle has quite a bit of case wear. Guess it is possible they slapped the label on an older bottle. The label is on pretty well. If a faker glued it on, they did an outstanding job. Do people collect this stuff? Is it Ebay worthy?

I don't know much about the brand and the company who produced it, but the makers mark on the base (R in-a-triangle) is for the Reed Glass Company of Rochester, New York, whose start date is a little uncertain, but they were apparently in operation as late as 1956-57

It doesn't cost to try (unless the changed again). I don't know how much interest there is though.
