I am a huge fan of pickel bottles espeacilly cathedral pickles but I’ve seen other food products don’t get as much love here you can post some cool food products. The last one I saw in an antique shop in Maine massive cathedral pickle. I also threw in a capers bottle as well.

Love pickles. I have a couple in storage that I can look for just give me a little time. Capers is English? Cathedral pickle is sweet. I bid on them alot but never win. They are very popular with many collectors i would have to say. How tall is that big Cathedral pickle? It looks like a gallon! Wow.

I don’t remember the size but since it’s next to a whiskey cylinder I’d say yah about that 25 bucks for that one next time I go back if it’s still there I’m going to pick it up

A lot of capers back in the day were cultivated in southern France, Sicily, and Spain with some production in the us I do believe they are either American or French imported bottles which is kinda cool

It's been repaired. I know you saw that. Still at 25 bucks that is great. Redo the repair better? Maybe.

Yah most cathedrals espeacilly the big boys are expensive do to not many surviving do to there size so even with the botched repair job it still looks decent on a shelf I’m not to picky when it comes to dings or dangs or “interestin” repair jobs

Capers are flower buds from a shrub that is cultivated in Mediterranean countries. France was a big exporter in a variety of (typically) emerald-green glass containers. Capers were enormously popular for cooking in the late 1800s, and WWI probably ended that commerce.
