I didn't even look at who won, but yes discpontil has bought quite a few higher end eRly bottles of me. I'm assuming it sold just for the pinch, and I know they are writing a book on early glass manufacture... Still it ain't worth that much!

I agree, definitely a mold closure pinch. I've studied a few of them and there's no doubt in my mind. The theory presented in a recent bottle mag that these are repaired holes just makes me chuckle. The shard with the two aligned pinches only solidifies that they are mold pinches. Thanks for posting that pic.

A thread solely devoted to pics of pinches would be cool. I have a Boley & Co Sac City Cal with a huge one on the reverse.
