if the seam on the bottle goes all the way up then it was made on a machine,so after 1911 or thereabouts most likely, the 2 means 2 ounces most likely. nice looking bottle.

Hi Callum, welcome to these forums. In order to be called a collector you need to have at least 2 of something, so get out and find another bottle or 100. [:D] Your first find appears to be an Iodine or Mercurochrome bottle because of the applicator stopper. I suspect the age is from early 1900s but we would need a bit more information about the side seams to know for sure. Even then, with this sort of bottle, it might be a guess. Nice start to a collection, keep it up and come back and share your finds.

The seam goes all they way up the side and is quite prominent on the neck. You can see a slight gap on the neck towards the stopper and that runs all the way to the bottom.

I agree with botlguy because of the applicator style. If you found this on the beach, it still has its top and it is that clean, I am supposing that it has been recently washed out of a dump site. Are there streams flowing into the ocean near where you found this? There may be a dump not to far from where you found this. Keep looking. Scott
