Welcome!
Your bottle isn't that old. 1940 +. Looks like a sauce bottle. I cannot make out the bottom that well, the pic is too small. A larger one would help me see the embossing better.

You can even do the search yourself by going here: http://www.myinsulators.com/glass-factories/bottlemarks.html

If you can match up a makers mark on this list, it can tell you about when and where your bottle was made. Not all makers are listed though, but a great amount are.

Hi, First Thank You Surfa for helping me. Its hard to put into words what the marker's mark looks like so I will just try another pic hoping its a better one. It does seem to say on it L.B. 66? There is two squares or box looking letters? I dont think its worth anything, but did wish to say thank you and give ya a better pic.

There was a long beach glass from California but can’t tell from the photo. Tilting a bottle at different angles can make for a better picture.

What country are you in that can make a difference with marks on bottles?

Well Here2Learn; I would say your bottle is too new to be concerned about. The next thing you need to do is look at the threaded area of the finish top- if there are seams over the threads it is an ABM made bottle. (Automatic Bottle Machine)
The trade mark you show is not really what we call a Makers Mark. Although it indicates what company made it, it also tells us which plant of the company made it, the mold number it was made in, and usually the year it was made. That said, I think it could have been Glass Containers Co. and what ever is embossed on the bottom or on the heal of the bottle.

Your best place to start learning is the SMA.org homepage. http://www.sha.org/bottle/index.htm This collection of information was gathered by a FORUM member Bill Lindsey. He started it when he was with the Bureau of Mines. Since his retirement - he still works at keeping it up-to-date. From there this FORUM is a big source of knowledge and help. RED Matthews
