Found this today in the mud of an old riverbank. It is a very thin clear glass bottle, entirely hand-tooled, with a pontil scar on the bottom. The neck is damaged but it appears to have frosting on the very top inside which indicates it would have had a glass stopper. I believe it to be a decanter of some sort.

Cleaned it up and as it dried it began to show rainbow patina so it definitely has some age to it. If anyone is familiar with this style of bottle and what year it may be from please share.

I will probubly try to rebuild the top from clear resin to make it whole again. Will keep you posted.

Probably not as old as you think. Stuff like this was being pontiled into the early 1900s. I’d say that’s when this piece is from.
