Pontiled “Art glass” hat

Among the 60+ bottles I bought Sunday was this non bottle. Appears to be a modern piece of what I would call art glass with what I think is a pontil scar. The nice thing is that I saw one on Etsy for almost half of what I paid for the whole lot

Glass house workers would make whimsies in their spare time with excess glass. Hats, canes, geometric shapes, and I think turtles were all common subjects. This could easily be an antique piece, especially if the bottles it came were all around Civil war/pre civil war, but I have no experience with them so I couldn't tell you one way or the other
