I was out for a run this morning past the Jersey City Medical Center and saw they were doing some excavation. In the pit I could see some old pilings. The hospital is built on the route of the old Morris Canal (1829-1924). It was fenced off but I could see one broken bottle. Had to get in and did. Now I live in Jersey City and collect Jersey City bottles. The broken bottle was perfect for me. It clearly says Jersey City and legible was Railroad Ave. Railroad Ave, renamed is the street I live on. I have a Morris Weitz bottle from but they were at 299 RR ave whereas this bottle has only the last digit legible and it’s a 3. Also while there is no name it does end with &Co (not for Weitz). The bottle potential for this site is tremendous but searching will be tough since the hospital is open 24/7 with security
