HI Everyone
This morning after I dropped my daughter off at school I noticed that it was low tide so I went to scourt out a small cove down the street from the school. I didn't have my boots so I wasn't able to go out onto the mudflat.I walked around for about 15 minutes. I didn't find any whole bottles but I did find the 3 pieces pictured below near the sand/mud border. All 3 have seams that end about halfway up the neck and 2 of them even have what remains of their original corks in them. I find it amazing that cork can last that long under water most of the time. I plan on going back soon with my boots to explore the mudflat. Hopefully I'll find some whole BIM bottles.

Thanks for the suggestions Joe and Rick. I think I'll definetly bring a small probe and a shovel next time I go. I'll also bring them next time I check under a wharf at low tide. All this time I've been grabbing the bottles I find on the surface, I never thought to do a little probing and digging.
