Purple Apothecary Bottle/Jar ?

Here is a beautiful 3 piece construction bottle/jar that I believe is Apothecary. Is it ? I haven’t seen many of these type of bottles in this size before and in a purplish color. Is it unique or just a common bottle. Whatever the case may I am grateful to own this beautiful bottle.

Those three mold apothecary or medicine bottles are pretty ubiquitous in Galveston...not sure exactly what they had in them but I find a lot of them in the 1895-1910 timeframe. Definitely the right age for some cool stuff, especially here in Texas.

Very interesting. Next time I travel to Galveston I’d be interested to see if there are any in the antique stores. I bet there is a lot of torpedo bottles in Galveston as well. Little things like this tell a story.
