Got a set of 12 mixed bottles. One of them reads “Quaker Bottling Co”. “MPLS MINN”. (7 oz.) Features a Quaker man front and back with dimpling. Any idea as to age or value?
Thanks! Can't find much info on the company, but that is definitely a soda bottle. Bottles with an Owens mark of that variety on the base are date coded, with the right number indicating the date- It's not foolproof but generally number lacking a "." after it indicates a 1930's era bottle, which likely dates yours to 1936, which would make sense given the glass thickness and eccentric embossing, which died off as ACL sodas began to take over in the 1940's. As far as value goes, there's a few on eBay right now with asking prices of $20, $40 and $50, but they haven't sold. I have seen these before but they don't seem to be super common, I'd think you could probably find a buyer at $10-$20.
