It's pouring down rain outside and I'm tearing out a floor in the house I bought across the street from my Daughter when I get an idea. Hey, the metal detector is in the truck. So after the floor is removed I start detecting the crawl space. Nails, nails and more nails. After I finally get all the nails up I start finding these. Several of them. Maybe 5 or 6. That was the only one that I cleaned up. Strange that old paper shotgun shell brass would be under the house. This was a room that was added to the original structure. After finding other rusty metal stuff I hit on this. Could it be a copper/brass washer, penny with a hole for wearing around the ankle? After I took it home and cleaned off some of the corrosion, it appeared to be some type of coin.[attachment=2-26-15 001.JPG]

After a lot of cleaning, it turns out to be a "Good For 5 Cent In Trade" Token. Not worth much, but was glad to be able to do some digging on a rainy day. Buster[attachment=2-26-15 002.JPG]

Thanks Jim, The house was probably built sometime in the early 1900's. Originally a one room house. So after new walls , new roof, new hardie board siding, new sofit and facer boards, two coats of paint (Actually everything outside new) I am ready for the inside. Seems that the only thing that I will be able to save is the 8 X 10, and 10x10 heart pine sills. Thanks for looking. Buster

Nice finds, Buster. I'm liking that token. MD'd my first 10 gauge shell the other day. Glad you took the time to check out that crawlspace with your detector.
