Howdy folks, If you are in the area and looking for something interesting to do, I would suggest you head towards Richmond, Virginia this weekend, for lots of antique bottles and excavated relics of all kinds!
On Saturday August 20th from 9AM to 5PM, and Sunday August 21st from 9AM to 3PM, will be held the 2011 National Civil War and Antique Arms Show and Sale.
I have attended this show and sale the last couple years, and have enjoyed every minute of it. I will be set up there again this year with a table or two full of antique bottles and excavated relics dating from roughly 1800 to 1900.
The show is held at "The Showplace", located at 3000 Mechanicsville Turnpike, Richmond, VA, and attracts sellers and buyers from all over the east coast. Many of the other sellers will have antique bottles and related items on their tables as well, including items recently excavated from Civil War sites, you just never know what will turn up there, as I have pleasantly found out myself.
We hope to see you there !
