Looks like it, it has screw grooves in the glass too.[8|]

Surely it has to be worth more than 35 bucks. Had to be one of very very few american internal thread bottles used considering all the bottles made in the US. What a bummer. It would sure be a great addition to a whiskey collection.

That internal thread design seems to have been common in SF, I have this Rusconi quart that is the same. I think that the hard rubber is the same thing as Bakelite but I'm not sure. I know Bakelite was in use at the time (1890-1910).

If anyone knows anything about this Rusconi bottle I'd be glad to hear; I've never found it listed.

Just did another google search and found out that Rusconi, Fisher & Co. were in business from 1907-1917, so this is a pre-pro whiskey. The same site (http://www.pre-pro.com/) has Lobey's Adolph Harris & Co. listed as operating from 1902-1919. Google rocks.

That is not a scarce bottle by any means. The buyer paid top value plus shipping, so it just goes to show you what fleaBay can do to seduce uninformed bidders.
