I am looking for information about S. Rogers, anything about the company and if this is rare? This is a applied blob bottle. Makers mark EHE 28. Amber color.

This is an unlisted bottle. It dates to pretty much exactly 1880 based on the operation dates of the Edward H. Everett Co. (1880-1904) and the S. Roger's Brewery (1857-1880). I would imagine that this is a very rare bottle especially since you still have part of the stopper mechanism on it.

Thank your for the reply, sometimes it can be a little hard to determine the exact year a bottle was produced, but in this case the bottle maker opened the year the brewery shut down.

Looking on the north american glass auction website it looks like a tooled blob version sold for 140 with makers mark of ehe co 28. Mine is applied blob with ehe 28. That is a great document Hemi. I'm curious on when this brewery closed. The bottle pickers website states that There are no listings for S. Rogers as a Brewery or a Bottler according to the 1886 Sanborn Fire Insurance map. So maybe they closed 1885?

Now that you mention it, that certainly makes sense.
