From your description, its what is known in the UK as a ''dumpy seltzer water'' bottle. The vertical embossing would date it to around 1900-1910, or so.
The site giving the time period for JK&S use is incorrect.
Please post picture, if possible.

Kilner were in business up to 1937. Google ''kilner glassworks '' for a little more info.

LMAO Blade.Looks like Richard Cranium, the boss of a friend of mine.

KD,if you use Windows, you can right click on your picture.Select Stretch/Skew.Reduce the picture size vertical and horizntal to 10%.Go to "file" and "save as" to your desktop. When you click on "embed pic. in post" and "click here to upload" at the bottom of the reply to message box it will say "browse". Just find the pic. on your desktop click on it and it will be entered in the "browse" box and click O.K.By reducing the size of the pic. it should be small enough to post on here.I hope I got this right, its been a while.Welcome to the forum and good luck.

That's a beauty Dick, not my area of collecting but it would look great in the window. Now that there's a pic I'm sure you'll get a few more answers....Jim
