I found myself going crazy in an antique shop last Saturday and am going back tomorrow with my friend, the shrink lady. (Problem is she’s even crazier than I when it comes to antiques…. Good thing we love different styles). A guy with a booth and 1 hell of a bottle collection, has Alzheimer’s and is selling his bottles for dirt cheap- like boxes of nice whiskeys, inks, acl sodas, ect, for $1 per bottle, + $2 boxes- or the expensive $5 boxes full of 6 pack acl bottles? Then they also take 30% off that cheap price. Like a kid in a candy store there! I dropped a whole $103! I got so much…. Here is only a part of it.
Buck bottles!

Thank you- and That’s a trip- with a pour spout finish? If you ever get a chance, I would love to see the label. I thought it was English. I only dragged home 2 boxes today…. But lots of cool stuff that so much of is a mystery and giving me problems looking up. This one had a note in it- I thought it was middle eastern when I saw it. It’s super heavy- iron pontil mark- and super groady, just like back in the days of digging! I’m going to post some pix on a new thread of today’s haul. My friend just had back surgery so I had to cut it short in there- next time I’m going alone and plan to get lost in there because I’m in no way done.

I think this one is likely actually French with an orientalist motif. That's a Benedictine bottle https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bénédictine Probably not one from the actual Benedictine company, but the shape was widely imitated and I assume this was from one of their competitors. Middle Eastern iconography was hugely popular in continental Europe in the 19th century. That flat circle would have contained a wax seal at some point (or maybe a paper label if this was a cheaper competitor).

Also, that stoneware bottle is not a malt beer bottle, it's a master ink. Stoneware beers looked similar but did not have pour spouts - imagine drinking a beer with a pour spout! You can find lots of labeled examples online.

A lot of bottles display the seal ,but no symbol no actual stamp found on a lot of more modern bottles. Some victorian age are to found with only blanch where the seal should be like your green bottle you found!
