I have found two bottles that say "Shawmut" on the side. They were produced by P.J. McCarthy & Sons out of Sherborn MA and couldn't have been any later than 1941 as that company shut down when the US' involvement in WWII began. P.J. McCarthy & Sons started in 1912 and was mainly a cider mill, but produced the Shawmut Soda as well. The only shred of information I can find about the bottles is in a document about the history of the cider mill. The document describes the soda as "popular at the time" yet I cannot find a single piece of information about the soda itself. I do not know if it was a cola or a fruit drink, just that it existed for a time no longer than 29 years. There is one Etsy post with bottles much cleaner than mine that has one in the listing, but beyond that, I am at a loss for information.

Any help is appreciated, please see these photos and the Etsy link
