I got this one QT. Sheffield dairy bottle from New York. It is embossed 23 on the base with a large 4. No chips of cracks. Has a little interior haze.

Nice milk bottle. Any idea what the 4 stood for? I've tumbled a couple of smaller milk bottles and that clear glass just seems to shine. I would imagine a light tumble, if you were to decide to tumble it , would make that bottle look like a brand new old bottle. Roy

It is a one quart the 4 is the number of cups.
