I know this is the "What Is It," section, but I thought this was the place for this bottle. We can see this is a "Silver Spring Bottling Works" bottle, but I have not been able to find a reference to it anywhere online. Silver Spring Bottling Works distributed seltzer bottles during the period that they were popular, and information concerning these can be easily found. The seltzer bottles were completely different than this bottle. I will not describe each detail since the images do that. The following information may not be clear in the pictures. The bottle is eleven inches long, and the front slug plate says, "Contents 1 Pint. 12 Fluid Ounces," 28 ounces sounds about right for this bottle. I have never seen embossing near the lip of a bottle before. I would like to know more about this bottle. Ray
