Depressed that I missed fellow Canuk's "Five for Friday", I decided to steal some of his thunder for a Saturday Six-Pack, so to speak.

Pictured here are six pipes I really like, against the backdrop of an offshore oil rig I called home for 2 years. Give us six of anything you've collected, framed by a picture of meaning to you.

Gentlemen - start your six-packs!

Here are various jugs I collected. Nothing too spectacular but I like the range of size and shapes. The picture is a painting from my Grandparents on my mothers side. It used to hang on the wall in their living room. It is one of the things I do remember about going over there. I don't know who painted it. I think of them everytime I look at it. Good memories.

I love them all. Never seen the deer head one or that face. I have a full Amer. chief clay pipe.

I think the framed picture of meaning bumped me out of the six for Saturday theme. Nice jugs ROBBYBOBBY. How cool was it to weather a storm on that Oil Rig?

That rig was drilling in the Hibernia field at the time, about 250 miles offshore of Newfoundland. The winter storms were crazy! Waves as high as 70’ - 80’ at times. Some storms raged for 2-3 days. Had some pretty wild rides!
