Last night we went to my favorite Mexican restaurant and they had in their machine a selection of reproduction imported older style soda-pops. I got the Squirt twisted glass late 60's early 70's style I do believe. I know the older Crush, Squirt, Coca-Cola, and a German brand of Root Beer are back on the shelves (German not in the food place though,) but I'm curious as to what other soda-pops they're coming back out with. And if they're ACL and nearly identical to their original counterparts from the 60s and 70s, I'm wondering if that will confuse some of us who go after their original counterparts (Thankfully the restaurant's bottles were en Español so that's not a problem if one were thrown in the lake and I pulled it out and wondered, 'is it real?'.

Yup I have been seeing a lot of them up here too. I have to admit I enjoy tasting some of the old flavors that haven't been around awhile. I didn't think about them fooling anyone though.Lisa

If it's an ACL after 1960, it could pose an issue for me. The 1970+ bottles I find can be in brand-new condition and so yeah. The modern style bases of them aren't identical to these new ones, but similar.
