My husband found this lodged up against a concrete footing at his work while digging fiberoptics.

On the front it says "THIS BOTTLE NOT TO BE RESOLD" and on the bottom it says "DSGC" we think.

Any suggestions?

Looks like a 1890's blob top beer bottle. If not embossed with Brewery name it may of had a Paper Label at one time. LEON.

More likely a beer than a soda. DeSteiger Glass Co. 1879 - 1896 in Indiana. The plant was pretty short lived compared to other plants like ABCo, NBBGCo or EHECo, so the bottles are more scarce. This one I presume was dug or found in the Midwest. RC

That makers mark is rather uncommon. Nice looking bottle even though it is unembossed.
