We practiced our “social distancing” and took a long hike near our home.
Almost 100 years ago, they built a large dam. There was a village for the builders. It was demolished later, but we think we have found the area.
Four of our 8 kids went with us. Our 7 year old son is a bottle whisperer! He can find a bottle anywhere.
He found three flasks and many broken Cokes.
My husband found an intact milk, W R Smith and Son. Oxford, PA, not far from us. I can’t find any information about the dairy, but the bottle is marked 1927.
We also found a lot of insulators, mostly tiny white ones.
We had a great time, and we want to explore further.

It's always great to see young kids having fun while out looking for old bottles. I used to do alot of digging. Would bring home all the slicks & other bottles I didnt end up keeping for my collection & bury them in an old garden in the back yard. My kids, at the time, were still very young but they had an absolute blast digging for old bottles! It really is a great hobby for all ages. Looking at your pics of the kids proudly holding their finds took me right back to when mine were young.

awe Ilove seeing the kids get into it. These days with the phones and tablets it’s hard to get their faces out of the screens. Very cool finds!
