I'm not sure if it had alcohol in it or not. It might have been used for a mixer or a drink on it's own, could've been some kind of liquer too.
I think they still make a product like this, I'll have to check next time I'm in the grocery store.

Just found this info, and yes it's still made today:
Not sure if this has always been the case but it is a non alcoholic mixer used to make different cocktails.

I knew I had seen it in the grocery store recently. Apparently the brand is now owned by Cadbury Schweppes.
