Hey guys!....and gals! I’m asking what you think this bottle is worth in your opinion. I want to sell it on Facebook market place but I can’t find anything online to give me a starting reference price. The front says “ sour cream registered 1 pint liquid good for three cents when empty” the back says “Quaker maid dairy products 220- 26 Manton St. Phila PA” there is a Q on the bottom with a six inside of it
Please help if you have any info thanks for your time!

In my experience the more modern bottles, such as the one you are showing, from large metropolitan areas were usually mass produced and demand for them among collectors from those areas is usually relatively low. It may be a challenge for you to find a buyer, I certainly would not expect to retire on the proceeds. My suggestion if you use feeBay is to look at the fees that will be charged from the sale, incorporate what you have invested in the item and set the starting bid as low as possible to cover costs in the event it sells for your opening start. This will not guarantee a successful auction or even a sale. I think currently feeBay is not charging listing fees, which may be a blessing if an item does not sell. If you list it I hope your listing attracts bidders left and right and you have a successful auction. Good luck. Might be simpler to decide on what you would want for it and then see if anyone on this forum or on another are interested in it.

I found a similar sour cream jar with a 3 cent deposit embossed on it, I'm sure these really don't have much value, the one I found is the only one so far that I've found like it, I keep these type jars and bottles for when I get around to setting up at a local flea market and hope for the best, same with common MOM's and the like, it's hard to leave bottles/jars like these behind, I only leave them behind if I find a bunch of what I'm really looking for and grab them at a later date if I don't find anything I really want on a return trip.

Yeah I know it’s not anything super valuable but I was looking to get some kind of a ballpark mostly because I don’t wanna look like an a hole if I overprice something I sell on Facebook marketplace and I’ve been doing pretty good so far but I don’t want to list the bottle for $30 or 25 something around there and it only be worth 10 you know what I mean? I don’t want to be insulting or seem like a crook so I always try to find the value and if I can’t find anything close to it online then sometimes I wonder if it’s worth more but I found the answer to that is no time and time again LOL

Milks are tough to value since there are just so many of them, it really depends on the rarity of that particular dairy and how many milk bottle collectors there are that focus on the area. I would be fairly surprised if there were many milk bottle collectors in Philly since that city has such an abundance of much earlier bottles, but I suppose you never know.

List as 'or best offer'. In my experience selling on Facebook, people will generally send offers regardless of what your asking price is.

Agree with Canadian Bottles..Someone who collects a certain Dairy Co or may just like the look of your bottle, and want it. On eBay start at a reasonable high price and always make sure listing is set to accept offers. Sometimes you will get a lot of watchers without any offers if selling buy it now. My theory is that means is way too high and / or quite a few people have same item and are watching to see if your over priced item will sell. At this point reduce price and even send a reasonable offer to all watchers.

$15-25 is an ok starting price, but if not rare expect to come down before you sell. Always look for similar or same items on eBay and filter by sold items to get a likely value for your item. One more hint is if the bottle is from your area or even state, offer local pickup. Sometimes even local shipping cost, can really take down your top price.
