Ok you experts here is a challenge. I have some ideas but lets see what you think..
I was born and raised in Maryland. My mother spent her entire adult life picking antiques and primitives along the eastern seaboard including Amish and Mennonite communities, etc.
She gave this compote to my wife 20 years ago and said it was very old and to take good care of it. I have done all the research I can and it certainly has the "South Jersey Lillipad" design seen on smaller pitchers and sugar bowls but I have seen nothing this size being 10" height and 11 inches wide. It is an impressive piece of glass.
It is hard to see but it does have a pontil. It looks like it was a solid glass rod snapped or perhaps cut off.
