Hello all:
Here in New England (as else where I presume) the towns are dotted with graveyards. As stated before regarding homestead dumps, I have found that the municipal dumps are often located near the far corners of the graveyards. If a digger is not destructive and doesn't get SPOOKED easily, it can be fruitful.
After digging one site I decided to go down to the local HISTARICAL SOCIETY to find more info about the area. I spoke to them about the graveyards in town and told them that I found some stones, etc that either fell down the side of the yard or where thrown there. They said that they were looking for missing stones for thier records and were glad that I passed on this info. They then told me of other grave sites and where I might find bottles etc.
And no coffins folks, haha. Yes that would be very spooky and you wouldn't find me there.
Anyone have similar experiences or insight on dumps near graveyards? ?
Thanks,
Madpaddla
