I normally only post on Pepsi related things, but I have another Coke question. This forum has taught me to see the value in other bottles so I went out on a limb to buy this one when I saw it in a flea market. I do want to resell it, but don't really care about making big money from the Sheik or anything. But I would like to know an honest market value and rarity of it. There is an inside crack that goes almost all the way around the bottle. The cap was obviously put back on at a later time, but I'm not sure if it is authentic to the bottle/time period.

Near the neck it says "Coca-Cola" over "Trademark Registered"
The front of the bottle says "Crown Carbonating Co." over "Hamlet N.C."
The bottom says "ROOT"

Here's the photos.

Thanks for any help and info.

In mint condition I've seen them go anywhere from $60-$100.

That cap is not original to the bottle. several decades later.

Ive seen 9/10 condition ones sell for $125 ... The inner perimeter crack would decrease the value by at least 60%

This market is different lately . anything is possible.

Thanks. I'll list it and see, the market is crazy right now so I may start a little high and see. Either way, I only paid $8 for it so I think I'll come out okay.

I have to think that the inside flaw may just be a marking and not a crack. Can you see an indepth flat to it. If it is just a mark where it is might be defined. I couldn't make it out in the pictures.
I think it is a bottle with value to it. RED Matthews

I wish, but it's for sure a crack. And now I see why somebody put a cap on it. There's a small chip on the lip. Still, I'll make a little on it...just trying to offset my Pepsi spending.
