SWAN BREWERY CO XXX ALE. The Swan beer bottles, believed to have been made as early as 1870, are arguably the first beer containers ever made on the West Coast. These generally come in various shades of green and were considered extremely rare at one point.

Pictured below is a West Coast crowd pleaser......Only 6" tall, a vibrant color & a deep kickup ....The reverse is embossed This Bottle never sold by the Co.

I bought this bottle & another soda years & years ago for $300.00 (for both)....I sold the soda three years ago for $2000.00....Ok, it was a great soda with San Francisco appeal. It did not compare to the Swan's though.

I find it interesting on so many levels "the rules we play by". I really don't like to sell Gooooood bottles but in this case it was a health issue. Still this bottle has great eye appeal & fills a space on the bottle shelf. I really don't miss the "other soda"....I have found in this life when ever I'm absolutely sure about something without a doubt.......... something occurs that makes me find a new way of thinking...sometimes the exact opposite of what I thought before...There are few absolutes.

But I ramble.....a nice picture (Swan) beer...for your approval.

I can see that........Don't they refer to that style of soda as a "dumpy" ?

Swell Swan, Mike,

I'd really like a close-up of that swanishness, if you're feeling generous, please.

Our British cousins call it a Dumpy Seltzer, Dumpy for short.

Great one, I think the last one I seen sell publicly was in the Grapentine auction.
