Texas Splits Galveston Brewing Company 1895-1918 Root Glass Co.

Is there a way to date this bottle? It has pronounced seams that become faint about a half inch underneath the tooled finish. It has a root twice on the bottom. One maker marks is a ghost. Also, what do these go for?

Any numbers on the heel ? Some root bottles have these and are date codes and or mold numbers. I think I can see some on the second pic. Mitch

The date of those is roughly 1905-1910. I don't know how to date it precisely. Value is about $20. I have had several of them in the past.

Thanks! It's my first Texas beer bottle. One day I'll get around to building a bottle tumbler. You wouldn't think they would have so many variations for such a short lived company.

I dug #6 on that website just the other day...I think I have about 5 or 6 of the variations. Still hoping to dig the quart...I've found several broken but very few whole. Nice bottle-I think that is one of the variations I don't have.
