The pontiled pieces are more than likely an Ayer's Cherry Pectoral. His patent medicine business was in Lowell, Mass. Interesting mix in the dump.

Joe, this is the only other pontil bottle that I have ever found in the dump.

Pontil, it's too bad it's broken. I kept it anyway though.

looks like an Ayer's cherry pectoral bottle- coollll.
Perhaps i can't tell from the picture, but that's quite a bullet casing, or at least a larger caliber. Someone got shot by a big bullet eh? I dug up a .30-30 case once, and at a ghost town in Colorado i found a bunch of old obsolete revolver rounds. They're fun to find, i always imagine that they're all there because a bunch of people got shot a long time ago, but i guess that's unlikely.
Ah, nice bottle mobile!

An unfired bullet shell, a couple of stoppers, a piece of an oil lamp, a tiny little game piece, and some sort of cut piece of glass?

Hey Ryan,

From the Department of Useless Knowledge, that little guy that looks kinda like a Parcheesi piece, is actually a Collar Button.

The back side of your cartridge casing may give you further information as to whether it's an ABF (Already Been Fired [8D]), and/or possible manufacturer / dating information.

Here it is surface. It doesn't appear to have been fired. Unfortunately, the collar button is cracked. Just my luck...
