One of the most unusual "bottles" I have in my collection is this 7Up that I found in a display case in an antique shop, probably 40 years ago here in North Carolina. As you can see, it is not really a bottle, but a lot of effort went into making it. The "bottle" is 5 inches tall, and my first guess was that it was either part of a handle on a soda dispenser, or part of a display. The bottom is open, and almost looks like it is broken out, but closer examination shows that the opening is machine made, with a lip on the front portion of the hole. The crown top is partially closed off, with a small hole in the center. It seems to have probably been mounted on something, but what is interesting is that they went to the trouble of completely labeling the back of the bottle, down to a particular bottler in Asheville, North Carolina! There are some embossed patent numbers on the back heel, but they are partially hidden by glue or some other substance that I have not tried to remove. Anyone ever seen anything like this before?
Yea, I bet your right, looks like it could have been a handle for a dispenser...that would be my guess as well, thanks so much for the post!

I bought a 7-UP bottle at a garage sale many years ago because it reminded me of ones I remember as a child with the "bubble girl" and I'm almost 71. Not in the best condition. The woman selling it said she found it half buried in the floor of her dirt cellar.

I don’t have a single 7Up item in my collection, but wow, so cool to see what everyone else has! Well done!

Real nice collection. I have a lot of 7-up in my collection and they display well.
My special one is from 1935/36 with 7-up embossed on two sides of the neck plus on the very bottom.
It is an ACL that is a bit faded but all intact. The speciality of it is it has 8 bubbles not the normal 7.
I am self taught on the computer and will wait until my daughter comes home and shows me how to do
a proper posting before I put the pic up.

Had a bit of time this afternoon and took a few pictures of some of my 7up collection. These are most of my foreign bottles. The white bottle is from Montreal for the grand opening of a new bottling plant in 1974. The glass and paper cup goes along with it.

7up signs, clock, calendar, cardboards, etc. etc. The award plaques are from Decatur, IL. The last picture is a school booklet from Missouri.

A few more. The second picture; The Cricket and Millie show is from a short lived television station in the St. Louis area in the 1950s. It was only on the air a few months. Did a bit of research and from what I read, Cricket is supposed to be the voice of Elinor Donahue who played Ellie Walker the druggist on the Andy Griffith show. The random letters on the large Drink 7up sign came with it, I'd like to find a few other letters and get rid of those.

Sorry for the quality on some of these pictures from the flash with my camera phone.

Several of my eight bubble bottles, embossed, and a few others. The center bottle in the last picture says "Property of Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of Roseburg, Roseburg, Ore."
