well,if you are on the lake,he may have been in charge of using the flags to worn boats of bade wether.

A weather flag is like a big sock with a hole in the toes, it shows the winds direction. My guess is that there was a weather flag in town and the druggist was located next to or under it and took the name. it would a local bottle so a little research locally to the town would dig up the answer...

Found out John Westondorf was on Mt. Clemens School board in late 1890's & was Mayor of Mt. Clemens in 1905 & also a Pharmacist. Busy man. Mt. Clemens is near the water & lots of boats in the area. LEON.
