I'm anxiously awaiting my weirdo Pepsi bottle. It seems to be a Franken-mesh of a
hybrid 1941 or 1942 label on a 1951 paper label bottle. I wondered what neck label
to use....Pepsi-Cola seemed to know...BTW the letter is postmarked 1943.
1942 body with 1942 neck
I suppose a 1942 neck label with a 1942 body label isn't really a sin, I would also suspect that
in 1951 they were trying to use up all the last of their old stock before the logo changes in '52.
During the inter-war period (WW2-Korean Conflict) there were many shortages. I presume that
meant using what you had until it ran out.
Unless I build a time machine I will never really know for sure.
