You can find them almost every where along railroad tracts to antique shops.They're not worth a lot unless it's a rare color or something.Just don't pay a lot for them!!

K6TIM, It's a lot more complicated than that. Your post is making some bad over-simplifications.
There are quite a few very collectible, scarce to rare insulators that are not necessarily found in "fancy" colors!! For instance, some of the rarest insulators known are found in ordinary aqua.
So it can depend on the exact CD number (style or shape), embossing variant, font style, shade of color, type of drip points, condition, etc. Lots of minor variables that the new collector may not be very familiar with.
Everybody, if they get a chance, should try to make it to an insulator show. The most well known show is held every year in Springfield, Ohio - that's the Mid-Ohio Insulator Show, held the first weekend in November.

look in flea markets, i see tons of them down here in missouri
