Dug this on Saturday in 1850's context...everything that wasn't a torpedo was graphite pontiled. Is this an American bottle or something from the UK or Belgium or somewhere like that?

Gloppy applied lip, deep olive green, very heavy, and one face of the bottle is almost flat...we dug several (mostly broken) and they all had this almost flat face.

Yeah...pretty nice stuff...some real criers (like the one below).

Anyone else think the torpedo is American? Any guesses on value?

Nice torp. We dug green Taylor never surrenders. Man I miss those 50s pits. Savor the moment, they don't come by every day.

Hi,

Not certain but the bottle is certainly a typical shape for a U K torpedo and have seen this shape lip on many torps of this age.

Torpedo Bottle...Olive Green...American!

It is like the RARE McKeon torpedo soda that I had two of many years ago, but mine were embossed. Keep digging and good luck!
