Well, that's all that I have time to clean up. Also found this chunck of gravel with the shiny flakes. I think that they call it "Fools Gold" I could'nt get the camera to capture the sparkles. Was pyrite flakes in granite also? Well, thanks for looking and hope I didn't bore you good folks too much. Buster

A day well spent if you ask me!! I love the lady's leg whiskey!!

This rock, I believe, is a type of schist ..the sparkly flakes are probably mica..

Thanks Mr. Fred. The more I dig in this dump, the more I learn about it's layout. There appears to be more good digging for toc stuff here.

Charlie. I googled schist. Interesting reading. So these shiny flakes are not really gold after all.[:(]

Judu. Waynesboro, Ga. About 2 out of three I dig here are Waynesboro.

Billinmo. Yep, that was a Hemmingray, but somewhere between the dump and the house lost part of the skirt.

Eric. You brought up an interesting point. Why are some Glover's embossed "Mange Remedy" and some "Imperial Mange Remedy". After a little googling, I ran across a book published by Glover. It appears people were using the medicine on themselves also. They wanted him to include people on the label. In his 1897 booklet he states this but refused to add people. Maybe the word "Imperial" was added for those people that wanted to use the medicine, but distinguish it from the animal medicine. Just a guess though. Buster

Thanks Micah, Hope that your dump turns up some great stuff. Sometimes the digging is hard, but there are the rewards from the searching, locating and finally digging a dump. We don't have to deal with the snow down here. Rain , wet, windy, and cold , but it beats that 90 degree + heat and high humidity of the summer digs. Good Luck and keep us posted. Buster.

Got a few more cleaned up. Food, peppersauce, and mucilage.

The half-gallon "ATLAS" E Z Seal had some damage to the top, but I didn't have this one in the fruit jar collection. I had never seen one with the Atlas enclosed in quotation marks. Not sure of the exact date on this one, but probably somewhere between 1900 and 1930s. Thanks again for looking. Buster
