This is one of the milk bottles I got from my uncle. My mom wanted this one so i cleaned it for her. It's a local Superior Dairies St. Augustine, Florida bottle. Tumbled it for one day and turned out pretty well. I was thinking that it was probably made in the 30s or 40s? It has a 43 embossed on bottom? Is this the date? I've seen Superior St. Aug. ACL bottles on ebay going for over $70 and have seen Superior Dairy embossed bottles from other cities for much less. Which is confusing. The ACL bottles seem to be worth more than the embossed ones? But i can't find this exact embossed bottle?. Anyone have any info on this bottle or one like it?
Thanks

The ACLs can often be worth more than the embossed ones, especially if the graphics are interesting. Up here in Canada the ACL milks are much more collectible than embossed milks, though that doesn't seem to be the case so much in the US. And the 43 is (I assume) the date. I don't have any info on the specific dairy though I'm afraid.

Thanks.
There were a few ACL milks that he gave me but I looked right past them and put back in box. If they are worth that much I guess I need to pull them back out and do a little research.

we, have a spot in town that was loaded with those superior dairy bottles... must have found a hundred of them. I dont know why they would be worth more than other cities unless they just didnt make as many of them, as st. augustine is a small town. they made them in 3 sizes. hmu if you make it to st augustine to hunt...
