I found these two bottles in the same location one week apart. I have several of the brown ones, but I have never seen a clear one in these waters!

I’m getting braver with my snorkeling, these were both found tucked deep underneath mangroves (it’s a bit scary going in/under ).

Any idea of what they held and their age?

Alcoholic beverages/liquor contents most commonly, though I have one I would have assumed held such were it not for an intact paper label stating contents were either vinegar or ammonia (I forget which and don't want to dig through boxes to find it right now--forgive?).

I'm guessing that one with the double-ring lip looks like a wine form, but am not placing money on my opinion.

Nice finds and photos as usual!

The one with the double ring has a pretty deep Pontil. I’ve found 2 of them.

The clear one shows signs of an iron pontil mark.

Not an iron pontil, although it looks similar. Not sure what caused that sort of rough texture but these bottles long postdated iron pontils. I used to see them all the time in 1890s-1920s sites out west. They were British-made and from the labeled ones I've seen typically held whisky.

In my area, we call the 3-piece molds generic liquors or whiskeys. They could have just about held anything though as Willing mentioned. That double ring is almost certainly a wine. The huge kickup on the base (usually not a pontil mark) is a basic characteristic of a wine (also could be champagne or ale). All of them are likely to be of English or French origin. The one with a maker's mark on the base (in my opinion) is almost assuredly English.
