Unmarked Wide Mouth Ball Jar

I have an unmarked Ball jar and the bottom of the jar only says "Ball" with the (I assume) model number A1. If anyone has some insight as to what the heck this is, that would be super helpful.

I have a wine bottle/decanter made by Ball glass works that has a hollow stopper. It appears to have been made in 1960 and has the :Federal law prohibits" message. I wonder how many companies they made bottles for.
