Unusual Peppersauce bottle

I’m posting this for my brother who got it from someone who used to find bottles while doing Construction on Galveston Island. I’ve seen a lot of cathedral peppersauce bottles but I don’t recall seeing one with this large O on the bottom. Is anyone else familiar with it and/or know more about it?

I wonder if it is not old, machine made, Obear-Nester Co.? 1922. Read the link, it explains why I think this.

I see where you think it could be an Obear Nester co based on that article but I think this bottle has an applied lip.

Yeah-that's an applied lip for sure. 1870's or very early 1880's I believe. I have one the exact same shape but with some embossing on one panel and a smooth base and it was dug in 1870's context.
